A roof with a view

The Bridge at Waterloo is an ambitious project initiated by St John’s Church, Waterloo, that aims to create a bridge between arts organisations, local charities and community groups in Lambeth. The project will see the creation of a state-of-the-art multipurpose facility located within the church.

To help launch the first stage of the funding appeal, St John’s approached Wylie Design to create a visual identity for the new charity and to design the appeal brochure. The design of the brochure called for images of the interior and exterior of the church, highlighting its location adjacent to the bustling hub of Waterloo. We were fortunate to be given access to a nearby rooftop which afforded an uninterrupted and spectacular view of St John’s and beyond. Long exposure photographic techniques made it possible to capture a series of dramatic images showing the church and the early evening buzz of the Southbank.
